    Addison J. Clarridge, aged 73, of Columbus where he has lived since the first of July, and formerly of Byhalia, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B. G. DeWitt at 53 Crestview Rd., Wednesday evening at 9:45 o'clock. He was born on July 1, 1867, at Mt. Sterling to Edwin (sic) Clarridge and Julia Dolby Clarridge. Addison's wife died in 1926. Surviving are three children, Roy and Mrs. Marjorie Van Gordon both of Marysville and Mrs. B. G. DeWitt of Columbus at whose home he died. One son Ray is deceased. Nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren are also living. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ballinger & Son funeral home at West Mansfield and burial will be made in Byhalia Cemetery in charge of Ballinger & Son, funeral directors of West Mansfield.

    Death Ends Suffering of Edmund Clarridge, Following a Continued Illness == An Invalid for Eight Years.

    Edmund Clarridge, aged 69 years, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, at his home at Byhalia following an illness of twenty-two years. During the past eight years he was a helpless invalid and it was necessary for him to use an invalid's chair. Mr. Clarridge was born in Pickaway county, June 22, 1847. On Sept. 13, 1867, he was united in marriage to Julian (sic) Dolby and to their union was born one son, Addison J., who together with his mother is still living. His early life was spent on the home farm in Pickaway county. When our country was thrown into turmoil by the clash of arms, Mr. Clarridge, although quite young, was ready to respond to his country's call. Feb. 1, 1865 he enlisted in the 1st Regiment 91st Co. B O.V.I. and was discharged Aug. 27, 1865, at the close of the war. Besides his wife and one son he leaves three brothers, Pleasant Clarridge, and Granville Clarridge, of Five Points; and Joseph Clarridge, of Newark; also two sisters, Mrs. Elnora Atkinson, of Mt. Sterling; and Mary Ann Watson, of Williamsport; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of relatives, friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Aug. 24, at 2 o'clock. Interment was made in the Byhalia cemetery.
