Robert's great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Wyburn Willett Garnell, reported, "According to family tradition, Robert Wyburn became deeply involved with the Primitive Methodists whilst still in his teens, with the result that the family largely rejected him. He would remain active as a lay preacher until his death. He, too, was a cabinet maker, working at first in Oakhampton and then at Taunton before finally moving to Bridgwater."

Death of Col. John W. Kelly.--
The many friends of this gentleman throughout the entire State, will be pained to learn of his death, which occurred at his residence in Callaway County. For many years Col. Kelly, represented Holt County, and two years ago he ran on the ticket with Col. Benton for Lt. Governor, since which time he has lived in retirement upon his farm in Callaway county. His remains arrived in this city last evening and will be taken to Holt county for interment. His death was occasioned by a severe attach of typhoid fever and after a short illness he expired on 26th ult.
