Married:
- "Nathan Heacock & Hannah John appeared here and signified that they continue their intention of marriage. Their parents being consent in, and on inquiry no obstruction appearing, they are at liberty to accomplish the same according to the good order established among us, the same friends are continued to see if it be so accomplished, report to the next Meeting, and return the Certificate."
"Whereas Nathan Haycock of Pikerun Township, in Washington County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Son of John Haycock and Esther his Wife and Hannah John Daughter of Joseph John and Mary his Wife of the same place and Commonwealth aforesaid having Declared their intentions of taking each other in Marriage before several Monthly Meetings of the People called Quakers in the Country and Commonweath aforesaid, the proceedings of the said Nathan Haycock and Hannah John after due enquiry and deliberate consideration, were allowed by the said meetings, they appearing clear of all others and having of Parents and Parties concerned --- Now these are to certify whom it may concern, that for the accomplishing their said Marriage this 26 Day of the 11th Month 1806, they the said Nathan Haycock and Hannah John appeared in a Public Assembly of the aforesaid People and others in their Meeting House at Pickrun at the County aforesaid and he the said Nathan Haycock taking the said Hannah John by the hand, did openly and solemnly declare that he took her the said Hannah John to be his wife promising with Divine Assistance to be to her a Loving and faithful Husband till death should separate them (or words to the same effect) and the said Hannah John did then and there in the said assembly declare that she took him the said Nathan Haycock to be her Husband promising with Divine Assistance to be to him a Loving and faithful wife until Death should separate them (or words to the same purpose). And said Nathan Haycock and Hannah John (she according to the custom of Marriage assuming the name of her husband) as a full confirmation and in Testimony thereto, did then & there to these presents set their hands."
