- A funeral service for Carol E. Schifferly, 67, of Bluffton, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton, the Rev. Gary Marks and Chaplain William Herr officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schifferly died at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 4, 2009, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born Sept. 8, 1942, in Bluffton to William and Maybelle (Schoonover) Schifferly.
Miss Schifferly worked at the Triplett Corp., Bluffton, for 21 years. She also worked at a glove factory in Bluffton.
She was a member of the First Missionary Church, Bluffton. She had been a Sunday school teacher, song leader and secretary at the church. She had also been a soloist for many functions.
She was a graduate of Cory-Rawson High School.
Survivors include her mother, Maybelle Schifferly, Bluffton; a sister, Sandy Neuenschwander, Bluffton; two nieces, Tiffany (Tim) Gallant, Cambodia; Angela (James Morrison) Dyer, Kenton; a nephew, Joseph Neuenschwander, Camp LeJeune, N.C.; three great nieces and one great nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Schifferly.
Memorials may be made to the First Missionary Church or Mennonite Memorial Home.
