- Pioneer Dies At Age Of 92 Years
Samuel Zulliger Was Well Known Allen-co School Teacher
BLUFFTON, Feb. 1 - (Special) - Samuel Zulliger, 92, life-long resident of Allen-co, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. J. Bogart, 262 Long-av here early Tuesday. Zulliger was widely known thru the county as a teacher of music in the public schools.
Zulliger had been blind for two years, but despite that handicap, he was hale and active until a week ago when he fell down stairs into the basement at the the daughter's home. No broken bones resulted but the shock of the fall weakened him and a few days he contracted pneumonia.
Funeral services will be held from the home Thursday with the Rev. Blosser of Bluffton Reformed church officiating.
The deceased is survived by his wife, who is 85 years of age, and by four daughters, Mrs. W. J. Bogart, of Bluffton; Anna Zulliger of Lima; Mrs. J. Smith of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mrs. John Rugley of Deckard, Tenn., and one son, Walter, living in California.""
